File retention policy
Our file retention policy provides that, unless a client requests his or her files be returned to him or her, files (paper or electronic) will be shredded or otherwise responsibly destroyed for matters begun or worked on seven (7) years or more before the current calendar year. That calendar year is currently 2018. Matters begun or worked on prior to 2018 are currently scheduled for file shredding.
Please contact us before May 1, 2026 if you would like to discuss files dated prior to 2018. If we do not hear from you, we will proceed with the destruction of any such files.
